Lady Jags sting Yellow Jackets in Second half

The Athens Drive Lady Jaguars picked up their 15 win of the season Tuesday night as they held Lee County below their season average with a 72-31 win. The Jaguars were led by Keisha Gatling and Lainey Childrey both with 19 points and reserve Jabria Hill added 12 for her first double digit scoring game.

Rachel Collins went out in the first quarter with a lower leg injury which appeared to be an ankle. She was taken to the trainng room during halftime and did not return to the game.

As a result Irene and Jabia stepped up and had very productive games in the post. The post combined for a terrific night scoring 42 points on 18/25 shooting (72%). As a team the Lady Jags shot 33/57 from the floor just short of 58%.

Although Collins went out with an injury, she still scored 6 points as did Irene Zanus Fortes and Blair Williams. Mia Hardy and Brittainy Joyner also contribited a basket each to round out the scoring. Morgan Francis added a free throw.
